Advent calendar "Linz"
This Advent calendar shows Linz's "Main Square", which has been one of the largest built-up squares in Europe since the 13th century. In its center stands the 20 meter high Trinity Column, built in 1723. The Linzer Torte, which you will naturally find behind one of the 24 windows, is said to be the oldest known cake recipe in the world. Linz is located on the Danube and was named Capital of Culture in 2009 together with Vilnius.
The former industrial city of Linz has a lot to offer in terms of culture. Linz has a good reputation, especially in modern culture. In 1974 the Brucknerhaus was built as a concert and event venue. This was the birthplace of the Brucknerfest and many other art and cultural events.
