Berta Hummel - Sr. M. Innocentia
The world-famous Hummel figures are based on drawings by a Franciscan nun from Sießen. Sr M. Innocentia was born Berta Hummel in Massing, Lower Bavaria, in 1909. After studying art in Munich, she entered the convent of the Franciscan Sisters of Sießen in 1931, where she lived and worked until her early death in 1946.
"I only want to bring joy", wrote the artist. She continues to work in this spirit to this day - also on our porcelain.
Our porcelain collection comprises a variety of different shapes and designs. The meticulous workmanship and detailed decorations give our porcelain the typical Reutter flair.
All of our porcelain pieces with gold decoration are decorated by hand with 24 carat gold and fired at 800°C. Our porcelain/articles are delivered in high-quality gift packaging.
