PLISSEE, the large, bulbous sister of the FRAPPEE vase from Philippi, is created using the same elaborate 3D printing process and then fired in the kiln at 1,200°C. The unique layered structure of hundreds of layers in fascinating contrast to the flowing, light pleated look is undoubtedly the hallmark of both vessels. FRAPPEE is also sealed watertight from the inside with a glaze up to half the height, because double simply holds better. Ideally, the fine structure should simply be cleaned by hand with a soft, damp cloth so that it does not gradually wash out in the dishwasher. Even individually, the vases are a dream in combination with cheerful, colourful bouquets of flowers; as a pair, they create a magnificent firework display.
